Who this course is for
This course, funded by UK government, is for Hampshire residents aged 19+ who have prior experience using the internet and email, and would like to gain experience and skills that will enable them to shop online with more confidence and safety in mind. Please note: Eligibility criteria applies and will be checked upon enrolment.

Open Course Objectives

The aim of this workshop is to empower learners to confidently protect themselves online. Learners will be able to recognise trustworthy websites, understand how to protect their personal information and check whether their online accounts have been compromised.
This FREE workshop is aimed at adults who would like to further develop their digital skills in a small, supportive group with guidance from an experienced tutor with almost 20 years as a cyber security expert.

A knowledge of how to use a mobile phone, laptop or tablet to send and receive email, browse the internet and have made online purchases in the past.
