Who this course is for

Who this course is for
Individuals who want to learn the ukulele while engaging with others in a shared activity that supports social connectedness, strengthens community ties and promotes a sense of belonging.
Prosp Aims
This course aims to strengthen local communities by bringing people together through shared musical experiences. It creates an inclusive space where adults from different backgrounds can connect, build relationships, and develop a sense of belonging. By learning and playing music together, participants will build confidence, strengthen social connections, and help create a more supportive and connected community.
Prosp Objectives
Ability to use individual fingers and grip.
Prosp Requirements
This could lead to Ukulele for Improvers or Fingerpicking on the Ukulele courses, alternatively to membership of a local club. The chord fingerings of the ukulele are like those used on the guitar but much easier to manage, so this course could also be seen as a step towards playing the guitar.
