Who this course is for
This course, funded by the UK government, is for Hampshire residents aged 19+. It is ideal for beginners, those lacking confidence, individuals returning to learning, or anyone wanting to improve wellbeing and reduce isolation through creative activity.
Prosp Aims
This course provides a gentle and supportive introduction to drawing and painting, focusing on building confidence, reducing anxiety about learning, and encouraging creative self-expression. It aims to help learners develop self-belief, feel comfortable in a group setting, and gain motivation to continue learning and engaging in creative or community activities.
Prosp Objectives
No previous experience necessary. Activities will be adapted to support all learners, with step-by-step guidance and encouragement to ensure everyone can participate at their own pace.
Prosp Requirements
Moving on to further art or craft courses at beginner or improver level, progressing into structured or accredited learning, taking part in community groups or creative workshops, building confidence to engage in volunteering or social activities. Alternatively, join a local art group such as Tadley & Baughurst Art Club, Oakridge West Art Club and Westside Community Art Club.
