Who this course is for

Who this course is for
This course is aimed at adults living in Hampshire aged 19+ who would like to develop their knowledge and skills of English speaking, listening and communication skills. This course will also prepare you for the functional skills curriculum if you do not currently have a Level 2 English qualification. his course is not intended as an ESOL course so a general level of English skills will be required, but additional support will be provided if you have any barriers to learning.

The course will cover the following:

• Asking questions to gain information
• Listening and responding to questions
• Talking about a subject for a few minutes
• Engaging in a discussion with people about an everyday topic
• Exploring synonyms to gain a knowledge of new words to gain a wider vocabulary

This course is fully funded for eligible learners aged 19+ via Hampshire County Council’s Adult Education and Skills Budget. If you are unsure if you are eligible, then please contact adult.learning@hants.gov.uk.
