This course is about awareness of Mental Health Conditions in the Work Place. It is the initial care and support given to someone experiencing a mental health problem until professional help takes over that is really important. It’s designed to help you understand the signs and symptoms of mental health issues such as stress, anxiety & depression, as well as exploring stigma, judgment, and the bystander effect. You will learn how to effectively communicate with someone who may be experiencing mental health problems, as well as being able to sign post them to the appropriate professional services.
Important Advisory – This course is for those who are on low incomes, unemployed and wish to take this qualification into the workplace to boost their CV and become a Mental Health Lead in a working environment. If you are wishing to gain an understanding of mental health issues and ways to support others experiencing poor mental health this is the course for you. If you are in crisis, under treatment or in therapy yourself, this course will not provide enough support for you, and could expose personal triggers throughout the program that you may wish to avoid. I will not be able to support personal mental health concerns.
We will make contact pre-course to ensure suitability and you’re booking maybe withdrawn if you are joining for person mental health support. I am not
mental health practitioner; I am a teacher of mental health support.
