Who is this course for: This course, funded by UK government is for Hampshire residents aged 19+ who would like to be more active, flexible and relaxed. Zumba targets different muscle groups and boosts your heart health. You not only get aerobic benefits (it really gets your heart rate up!), but also get anaerobic benefits – the kind that help you maintain a good cardiovascular respiratory system.
Evidence shows there is a link between being physically active and good mental wellbeing. Regular exercise has been linked to decreasing stress, depression and anxiety.
Prosp Aims
Zumba is more than just a workout – it’s a joyful way to support your health and wellbeing. It promotes physical fitness, enhances your mental wellbeing and encourages a positive relationship with exercise, making fitness fun, accessible, and something to look forward to.
Prosp Objectives
No previous knowledge or experience is required. This is a medium-high intensity and medium impact course (there are some jumps in the routines)
Prosp Requirements
Further paid Zumba sessions, other fitness courses at your local Library, Leisure Centre or Community Centre
