Who this course is for
This course is a progression opportunity for intermediate to advanced ESOL learners to develop your English skills to apply for the UK Driving Theory Test. The course will develop your confidence to be able to access and complete the online theory test.
Prosp Aims
The course will consist of:
• Six x 2-hour tutor led group sessions
• Self-directed tasks to carry out in your own time
• A personal tutor for support and guidance

By the end of this course, you will be able to:
• Identify 2 sources they need to study for driving theory test
• Become familiar with the rules of the road, including speed limits, traffic signs and other regulations
• Identify 4 words describing types of vehicles and 4 words describing parts of a car, 
• Recognise 4 signs giving orders and 4 warning signs
• Understand and answer at least 5 test questions correctly

Please note that there will be no examinations or tests and your UK Driving Theory Test will not be provided in this course.
Prosp Objectives
This course is suitable where English is your second or other language (ESOL) at Entry 3/ Pre-Intermediate level to Advanced level. It is free for Hampshire residents age 19+ who meet our eligibility / UK residency criteria. Please contact our team for more details.

Your tutor will also discuss further progression opportunities, including employment, volunteering, or further learning. You may be interested in our other ESOL progression courses (e.g. Life in the UK, Job-seeking in the UK), some of our sector-based employability courses (Working in Childcare & Schools'), or gaining a Level 2 Functional Skills qualification in either Maths or English if you do not already have one.
